The one piaster stamp is the second denomination in the set. There is no variety listed in the major cataloques. blocks are rare as most of the mint stamps were used in 1882 to surcharge with the 30 PARAS surcharge to make stamps to be used by soldiers and sailors for a concessionary rate. One unlisted variety at least has been recorded as illustrated below. The one piastre stamp is the most difficult one from the three lower values to find in multiples due to the surcharge mentioned earlier.
